All questions can be sent to mgbaun@wildchildpublishing.com. The first five to ten questions will be used in the interview.

Many things have happened this past month. Not only have we had some wonderful reviews, but many of our stories, covers, and authors are up for Preditor/Editor 2008 Awards. You'll find links and listing below. Be sure to go and vote for your favorite editor, author, book cover, ebook, etc. Today is the last day you can vote, so go and do it!

Beckoned by Ronald Scala

When his ex-wife Margot asks to meet for dinner, Nick's life had long been in a downward spiral. Plagued by hallucinations and voices that he attributes to his rather liberal use of alcohol, he soon discovers something far more sinister was at play. Margot reveals that both she and Nick are possessed by a demon known only to a seventeenth century Indian tribe. The creature slips unnoticed through time and space and orchestrates its victims to enact hideous acts of violence upon loved ones and neighbors. Worse, the demon, Ouintan-Mantua, is calling them both back, back to the place of their first encounter, Clarion, Pennsylvania.

Will they survive the beckoning?

"With fascinating facts and a plot that thickens with each page turned, Mr. Scala has written a tale that I won't forget in a hurry."

Cruising the Green of Second Avenue: Book 2

by Walt Giersbach

Daily life was dramatic on New York's Lower East Side in the late 1960s. Klein the Biker, Straight Charlie, Sammy the Madman, Frank and the Chick from Canarsie and a cast of tens romp through the city in the dawning of a new age. Jake, the narrator, delivers artistic distance to these dysfunctional people grasping at the metaphorical magic of hitting every green light on Second Avenue. Their highs and lows are chronicled with humor and insight, elation and sadness. The collection updates a rich heritage of vernacular story-telling in the genre of O. Henry's Collected Stories, Pulitzer-winner Jimmy Breslin's The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight, and Damon Runyon's Guys and Dolls.

"a brilliant set of short stories that involve everyone in Jake's life. Here’s hoping there is a Volume Three..."
